Great Escape Alpine Freefalls — Coming in 2012
Get ready for an extreme water ride experience — with friendly competition!
Splashwater Kingdom water park goes big in 2012 with the addition of Alpine Freefalls, a two level water slide complex set to open in May. This new attraction will boast the park's first free-fall
speed slide with Skybox technology and the Northeast's first of its kind mat racer.
For those looking for a little competition, Twisted Racer is a four-story, four-lane race through fully-enclosed tunnels, giving you the chance to compete with friends and family at speeds of over 25 feet per second. Speed head-first on mats through pretzel-shaped tubes before opening up into a final drop and a straight shot to the finish line where each competitor's time will be displayed on LED boards. Test your skill as your try to steer the tightest line through the tight enclosed start loops before the ride opens up and you drag race side by side to the finish. Ready, set, go!
Or face your biggest fears when you take on the double black diamond Cliffhanger water slide. Perched six stories high, you'll count to three before the floor literally drops from below, plunging you at speeds of up to 32 mph down an 80 degree drop into six inches of water. For those who aren't quite so daring, this plummet slide will be almost as much fun to watch as it is to ride.
